What Time Do You Meet?
We meet Sundays at 11:00am.
Where Do I Go When I Get There?
When you arrive on Sunday morning, we have ample parking with spots available close to the main entry that faces south. At the entrance, someone will give you a warm welcome. Be sure and ask for directions if you need them. Upon entering the building, the gathering place for worship is straight ahead and on the right. If you have children that you’d like to take to Clair Kids, turn left and go down the hall until you can take another left. The nursery and kids classrooms are on the right.
Can My Kids Come With Me?
Yes! We love having families together for worship. You may also choose to have them attend Clair Kids. Just check them in when you arrive, and bring them to the sanctuary with you. Once we are done singing songs at the beginning of worship, children are dismissed to their classes, and you can pick them up when we’re done.
What Can I Expect During Worship?
Worship begins at 11 AM with a greeting time and any announcements that affect our community of faith. Then, we lift our hearts and voices to God in praise and thanksgiving, which is followed by Children’s Time, when boys and girls come up front to have conversation with Pastor Cindy. Then they are dismissed to attend their own Sunday morning activities.
We recently made a change to our order of worship by moving the scripture reading and sermon time to be earlier in the service. This is an effort to engage the older elementary and middle school students in worship and, especially, the sermon. They are dismissed following the message to talk about the sermon through appropriate activities with adult leaders. We’ve tried this out since mid-September, and the students and leaders, alike, really seem to enjoy and appreciate this sermon focus.
A time of prayer and a morning offering of money to support our ministries follow. However, we want our guests to know that they should not feel obligated to give. This worship service is our gift to you! We sing one or two more songs and then are dismissed by noon.
We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. In the United Methodist Church, everyone is welcome to receive this gift of God’s grace. Folks come forward to receive a piece of bread and grape juice which represent the body and blood of Jesus Christ and are a witness to the great sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf that we might
have abundant life.
At Clair UMC you will experience a mixture of contemporary Christian music and hymns accompanied by our organist. Words are projected on a screen at the front of the sanctuary. We are excited to welcome a band of musicians to lead us in worship on 4 th Sundays of the
month!

What Should I Wear?
Our Sunday mornings are pretty casual. You will find folks dressed in jeans and shorts and others in slacks and a jacket or a dress. Just be comfortable!
